Claire couldn't even say the same. Even though there were so many things about her world that she hated, things that she didn't want to go back to, there was still so much that she missed, too. Her parents. Zach. Peter, Nathan. Even Lyle, who Claire was starting to realize mattered a great deal to her, as inactive as he ever was. She took a deep breath, then exhaled, shaking her head. It didn't do to dwell, it didn't matter where she was, all that mattered was that right then, she knew what would happen if she didn't intervene. And she couldn't let that happen without trying to make it better.
"New York isn't nice to us right now, Coraline, and no, we can't see the Statue of Liberty here," Claire said quietly, ushering Coraline away from the statue in the middle of the plaza. "Remember my nightmare? That's... all real, here."
