Cissie looked around anxiously as if she could see the danger, forgetting for a moment that this wasn't her world and she was retired. The smart thing to do was to find the police or someone who could actually handle it. It's what a normal person would do.

"What? How? Who?" Cissie lowered her voice to match Claire's. "What can we do?"

She had never been normal to begin with and she wasn't going to start now.
