"No, believe me," Claire replied, shaking her head in a similar fashion, even if the smile that had teased at her lips was all but gone. "I completely understand and like... would never try to learn about any of my friends that way. Maybe it's easier to just have the story there without it being biased or whatever, but it's like a huge invasion of privacy and kind of stalker-like."

Pausing in her mixing, Claire added a few more spices to go well with the orange taste. "Actually, part of the reason it weirds me out so much is because there was a version of me that was on the island before? And there are a lot of people who knew her and knew about parts of my life and that's just... weird. I really kind of hate it, even if I know that it's no one's fault. Except maybe the island, if the island's doing this on purpose."
